Booking Your Retreat

We’d love to talk with you about booking your contemplative/spiritual group retreat for 20-60 people at Seven Oaks. Since each group has unique requests, our reservation process begins with personal contact with you.

To learn more about holding your contemplative/spiritual retreat at Seven Oaks, please complete this inquiry form and submit it. Our Reservations Manager will then contact you.

When our Reservations Manager speaks with you, all of your questions will be discussed including the type of accommodations you want, menus, special requests, cancellation/refund policy, etc.

After a verbal agreement is reached, you will then receive a detailed contract to sign and submit to Seven Oaks, along with your deposit.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. We welcome all spiritually centered groups aligned with our core values of compassion, inclusivity, and non-harmful behaviors.

  • Yes, if your group has 35 or more attendees, you can enjoy exclusive use of the property and meeting halls. Smaller groups may share use of the retreat center. The Reservations Manager can help work out agreements to suit each group's needs.

  • We provide nutritious and delicious vegetarian (ovo-lacto) meals. Our chefs can also accommodate vegan, gluten- and dairy-free diets.

  • Please contact our Reservations Manager for pricing. Rates are dependent on the specific needs of each group.

  • Yes. Seven Oaks operates as a religious nonprofit organization under the umbrella of its parent organization, the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW).

  • The dining hall will be cordoned off so each group has its own section for meals. If your group is in silence, any other visitors will be notified.

  • The closest airport is Charlottesville-Albemarle. You can often find better rates and more choices traveling via Washington Dulles Airport, which is one hour from Seven Oaks; BWI and Washington National are about 90 minutes away. To get from the airports to Seven Oaks, renting a car is the easiest option.

  • The main meeting hall provides AV equipment at no extra charge. This includes a microphone, speakers, projector, and a webcam. The room also offers a pull-down screen.

  • Accessibility at the Seven Oaks campus is being addressed this year, as currently key spaces are not accessible for guests with mobility issues that prevent them from using stairs and navigating uneven surfaces. We place the highest priority on remedying this!

  • Cell phone use is at the discretion of your group leader(s). The signal on campus can be spotty depending on your carrier.

  • Single rooms can sometimes be available depending on the overall needs of each group. Your group leader(s) can request this when speaking to the Reservations Manager. We plan to add a single-room dormitory to campus in the near future.
